Information Technology is a booming area in business industry. When we consider about ventures in modern countries, they have equipped I.T. into their everyday business life cycles very smartly. But when it comes to Sri Lanka, the utilization of I.T. is still poor. The most identified reason for that is less awareness of the entrepreneurs about the advantages of I.T.

The literacy rate of Sri Lankans is above 90% but still the I.T. literacy falls under 25%. Therefore, in converting Sri Lankan small and medium scale ventures into “I.T. applied business environments”, the major task is to make the entrepreneurs aware about it. The main objective of this report is to be an outstanding tool and a everyday handbook for the entrepreneurs who are willing to experience the convenience of an I.T. environment

This report is prepared in its own way. I call it “WWH” format. Which stands for What, Why and How. In another words, the first part (What) of the report will introduce you to the Information Technology. And the second part (Why) will talk about the importance of applying I.T. into a venture. Finally, the third part (How) will deliver the tips about applying I.T into a venture.

As we know this report is discussing about applying I.T. into a business, But if this report couldn’t be ready for an I.T. environment itself, I believe it is a failure of this report.
